Our Professional and EASY Product Photography Process

So you need professional help with your ecommerce product photography. You searched for product photographers and found Smart Product Shots to photograph your hero shots and support images for your product listing. You contacted us as the first step. You’re probably wondering what happens next.

Here’s everything you need to know about our photography service from start to finish.

1. Call or email us with any questions, information about your products, or instructions for your product photos.

2. Send us your products. Choose your most camera-ready items and please package and ship carefully. We cannot be responsible for any items that arrive broken or missing.

3. Email us a photography shot list to ensure we shoot every item and angle you need.

Please include:

Item description

Item number (if applicable)

Number of images requested for each item

Preferred filename(s)

Instructions for product set up and photo angle

4. Send us example images or links for image references.

5. Specify required image size and format (e.g. 3000px x 3000px @ 300ppi) and include preference for natural shadow, product reflection, or pure white background.

6. We will confirm your products have been received and ask any follow up questions that we may have after reviewing products and instructions.

7. We prep your items and organize the studio set for your dedicated photo shoot. We will remove dust, smudges, and some wrinkles when needed. It is always best to send items that need minimal prep time.

8. Photography and post-production generally takes 7-10 business days depending on the number of images in the project.

9. We will send you an invoice for your project and a payment link (Click here for our most recent product photography price list)

10. Once payment is received we upload your product photos to your own password protected library and email you your login information.

11. Download your photos.

12. Once we know you are happy with your product images, we will send your items back to you. Please include a return label for easy processing.
